Sunday morning we left Perry and drove to Jackson, Mississippi. On the way, we passed a really big flea market. Need I say more. Our rv is scheduled to stop at every flea market or bead shop. This was in Alabama, Roy, and of course we thought of you and Becky.
Sunday night we found a spot at Roosevelt State Park, in Mississippi, on a large lake.
It was beautiful and we only had to jack the rv up a LITTLE bit.
Charlie then began his nightly ritual of calling Direct TV. He is on a first name basis with the tech people. He was trying to figure out why we couldn’t access any of our recorded shows. We KNEW we wouldn’t be able to get satellite because of the BEAUTIFUL (in my opinion) trees. Charlie doesn’t see them as trees, though, he sees them as satellite dish blockers! Two people and 30 minutes later they finally figured out that you must have a LITTLE signal in order to access your dvr. Of course we couldn’t access our shows. We didn’t have any signal, which we knew we wouldn’t have. That was why we taped the shows.
Needless to say, we ended up going to sleep early, which was probably a good idea anyway.
Monday morning, I was peacefully sitting in the bathroom when I noticed a very serious line of ants moving into the rv. Luggage and all. We got out the spray and began the fight. As Charlie went outside to undo the hose, he realized the ants had not seen the hose as a hose, but as an opportunity. (Picture to follow.) One little ant was even holding a sign that said, “All aboard!”
This meant war. So far, the ants are winning. We’ll keep you posted.
